    AAARRRGGGHHHH....

Sorry CSrs I just returned to find that Veneziano will be closed on the Saturday so we will move the pickup to another venue.

The venue will be announced shortly.

    Andy.

Well... I think moving the pickup is going to be a pain because we might not get hold of everyone who was planning on going to Veneziano this Saturday morning.

So... the pickup will still be there at the same time.

Sadly noone can have a great coffee while getting their beans but Im sure we can find another cafe to crash in peak-hour on a Saturday.

Ill hang-around, looking very suss, dealing beans from the car in the back lots of an industrial area till 12ish before sniffing-out a coffee somewhere near by.

    Sorry for the whoops CSrs.

    UPDATE:

Im going to drop in and checkout the rather curiously named Cafe Beelzebub after leaving Veneziano so if Fitzroy is a good place to get your beans you can grab them from there at 1pm (ish)

    Cafe Beelzebub *
    353 Smith Street
    FITZROY 3065

    Hi guys,

I just wanted to apologise here again for not catching on to that sooner. Were always only too happy to have CSers drop by, but wed like to follow up our success in the Vic championships with the Australians.

    Cheers,

    Luca

Not sure. I would be more likely to be seen in a cafe called "God shot" but Beelzebub is a CS members workplace so I thought it would be good check it out while on that side of town.

With any luck Ill get away from Veneziano at a reasonable time so if anyone is still heading there to get beans I suggest earlier rather than later.

    ;)

Ill see you at Cafe Beelzebub to pickup my beans Andy. Its closer to home as well than Veneziano, however I would have made the trip to Venezziano had they been open.

That was a great choice of venue yesterday Andy -- the food looked great, and I enjoyed my coffees as well. In fact, Kat and I went there again today for a lunch/late breakfast, and we both had a great time. Now that we know theres somewhere not too far from home with great food and a passion for coffee, Im sure well be back again :)

Thanks Leigh, was good to catch-up although I cannot claim to have picked the venue, that was all down to the owner Andreas (Takeaim) not being able to get away for the bean pickup. Its great that you and Kat went back the next day for a replay performance.

The "Hell Fire Burger" and the 2 x double espressos that I had were spot-on. Great food and great coffee made with a passion for perfection by a CS member, trained by a CS moderator and using another CS sponsor beans!

I took a picture of the cafe before I left with my new (week old) phone.... um, I think I now need to find the focus on it. I have attached it below in case anyone is wandering around Fitzroy drunk (as they are the only ones that could see a similarity).

With any luck Takeaim can upload some pictures (inside and out) so everyone knows what they are looking for when next in Fitzroy.

Nice meeting you all and thanks for coming back today Leigh.
Was a pleasure to make coffee for you guys, keeps me on my toes and gives me real feedback.
I was pretty happy with the shots all weekend, getting more consistent each week and looking forward to trying a few new things this year.

Ill upload some pics once I find them, were near Johnston st towards the factory outlets.

cafe beelzebub sounded fun tho i couldnt make it.

pickup at veneziano was cool but very quiet. could almost hear the tumbleweeds rustle by. sure felt a bit dodgy hanging outside while andy handed out white cotton bags of columbian merchandise on the streets to various people including me :p

thanks again andy for the beans. cant wait to roast em already :)

Geez, its been a month already since I was going to post pics...

We usually have 2 blends on, forza for milk based and veneziano estate for the real stuff ;)

Hope to catch up with some of you at this weeks pickup...if I can get away,

    Andreas
