BeanBay Green Bean Release June / July 2018

BeanBay Green Bean Release June / July 2018

    Available in BeanBay now:

    Santo Domingo Cibao Altura A

Santo Domingo Cibao Altura A is one of the great coffees from the Dominican Republic.
Long time CS'rs will remember fondly the triple-A Dominican coffees we had once upon a time, this is similar.
Grown at high altitude (Altura) and graded to A size as an espresso it has a good body with a sharp, crisp finish. Enjoy!

    Tanzania Tanganyika AA

Tanzania Tanganyika AA - A large screened and washed bean that produces a bright espresso shot that cuts through milk well. Very similar to a Kenya both in the cup and roast profile. I liked this best at a CS9 roast depth but can see its place at a CS8 or CS10 depending on what you aim to highlight. Really great value under $10

    Uganda Kisoro AA

Uganda Kisoro AA. This high grown Ugandan Arabica is another CS favourite, washed but not polished and then screened to a large AA size.
In the roaster this is easy to roast but expect plenty of chaff. In the cup it has a subtle acidity and heavy body that made a great double espresso and a syrupy ristretto. This worked best for me roasted in the darker ranges, close to a CS10 depth where the cocoa style dominates.

    ...the required fine print...
(with the exception of the more expensive 1kg lots and the bulky 2kg Monsoons) All BeanBay green beans are packed in 2.5kg zippered cotton bags, perfect for storage for up to 3 years when kept in a cool, dark and dry position. We ship paid orders out from the Snobbery Monday to Thursday and BeanBay will show the available shipping options and actual freight costs to your area. Larger orders are typically cheaper to freight per kilogram so we suggest ordering all your requirements at once. We also strongly recommend that you ship to an attended address (eg: work or grandma's house) to avoid delivery delays. Monday to Thursday we will ship everything same day that we receive payment for but please remember bank lag means it will take at least a day for your payment to get to us even though your bank took it from you instantly. If you want it faster, don't procrastinate and please order earlier for less stress.

    Enjoy!

Thanks Andy. Some great value coffees.
I really enjoyed the Uganda Kisoro last time. I did find it easy to roast as well.
    Cheers

Yeah the Uganda Kisoro is one of the few beans that really pops in the darker roasts but also works to bold-up a blend in a medium roast.

The Tanzanian and the Dominican are great coffees too, spoilt for choice sometimes!

We also have some Jamaican Blue on it's way, it's coming air freight as there is no way I'm buying a pallet of it. Pricing will be near $100/kg and it's not 10 times better than the above coffees but we always get asked for it. Everyone "needs" to try it once in their life just to know firsthand what you get on the top shelf. When it arrives I'll get it into BeanBay.

Such a great selection at equally great prices. Makes me want to move back to Oz.
