BeanBay Green Bean Release July/August 2018

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
BeanBay Green Bean Release July/August 2018

    Available in BeanBay now:

    Cuba Turquino

Cuba Turquino is motley looking sorting with a range of bean sizes but clean and washed. This Cuban coffee is very good to roast and produces an espresso full of spicy notes and black tea tannins at a CS9 roast depth. Interesting coffee and hard not to do a cigar association of tobacco, leather, wood and spice as the lingering flavours retain a drying malty and peppery finish.

    Jamaica Blue Mountain

    Jamaican Blue Mountain.
This is one of the most expensive coffees in the world (if you ignore the ones that come out of a critter) and often what you purchase as "Blue Mountain" is either not genuine or it's a tiny percentage of the blend.
Is it worth it? I have always thought the JBM is overpriced but if you have never tried genuine Blue Mountain coffee then for around $2 a cup you now can.
Due to the high purchase cost this has been packed in 1kg bags (not 2.5kg cotton) so you won't need a second mortgage to try it. Roast carefully!

    Zimbabwe Chimanimani AA+

Zimbabwe Chimanimani AA+ is a washed and well processed bean that is graded up to AAA in size.
Easy to roast and in the cup you will find a Kenyan style espresso, crisp, and winey but a clean finish with some dominating mid-bodied toffee flavours lingering. Another excellent African coffee.

    ...the required fine print...
(with the exception of the more expensive 1kg lots and the bulky 2kg Monsoons) All BeanBay green beans are packed in 2.5kg zippered cotton bags, perfect for storage for up to 3 years when kept in a cool, dark and dry position. We ship paid orders out from the Snobbery Monday to Thursday and BeanBay will show the available shipping options and actual freight costs to your area. Larger orders are typically cheaper to freight per kilogram so we suggest ordering all your requirements at once. We also strongly recommend that you ship to an attended address (eg: work or grandma's house) to avoid delivery delays. Monday to Thursday we will ship everything same day that we receive payment for but please remember bank lag means it will take at least a day for your payment to get to us even though your bank took it from you instantly. If you want it faster, don't procrastinate, please order earlier for less stress and no reason to ask "are we there yet".

    Enjoy!

Placed an order for green beans at 12.57pm today and received an e-mail from Fastway that they had picked them up for their journey across the Nulla at 2.09pm--WOW that's what I call service!!!!!

Where did the Jamaica Blue Mountain discussion go?

    Moved it to here:

...as the posts will disappear when the next BeanBay happens.
