    Exclamation Freight and Christmas hours.

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
It's about that time of year that we get lots of questions asking if something ordered now will get to you in time for Christmas.

    I DUNNO

Really, all we can do is ship what you ordered as soon as we have payment for it and the rest is up to the freight companies (and the weather and the moon and solar flares and you get the idea)

If it gets there late, then you ordered too late. 'tis as simple as that.

Fastway and eParcel are road freight and as such are less likely as each day passes to get there before Christmas.
Perth, Hobart, FNQ are already close to being unlikely via road but you can try if you like.
Sydney and Adelaide are probably okay till early next week
    ...but it's just a guess.

Express Post (costs a bomb) but should get to most destinations as it's air freight for the long hauls.

Due to the way the public holidays and weekends fall this year we won't ship anything after the 20th Dec as it's unlikely to go anywhere quickly.

The Snobbery will be closed from 20th Dec till 2nd Jan.
Yeah, of course I'll be in there during that period but we won't know when nor expect to be able to freight anything out.

We will return to some sort of normal insanity on the 2nd Jan and hopefully the freight lads and ladies do too.

    Enjoy your silly season!

We shipped a lot of things out today to remote areas that may not get to their new homes till after Christmas or in the new year.

All we can do is ship them on time like we do all year round, the rest is up to the hocus pocus of the freight people.

And yet to my surprise the order placed this morning was still collected by the courier today, much appreciated Andy!

Seems I should be able to roast those beans before going back to the 9-5 on the 7th

Have a wonderful, and safe, Christmas!

Yeah, we finished on the night of the 20th and we don't ever ship Friday's except decided to sneak-in and ship the REALLY LATE orders.

No more shipping this year though! Fastway locally are closed (working Saturday to clear out incoming only) and similar for them next Friday (just deliveries, not pickups). AustPost is closed on many days next week so even things shipped won't get far each day.

We are back at the Snobbery on the 2nd Jan when freight returns to some sort of normality, might be roasting on the 1st if there is too much in the system to roast and freight on the 2nd but will play that bit by ear and obvious being a public holiday on the 1st we won't be able to ship it then anyway.

Have a great coffee Christmas everyone, may Santa drop interesting coffee gizmos down your chimney and may you only hear "ohhhh great coffee" from your family and friends over the silly season.

So I thought Friday were late orders... today I had to go into the Snobbery so shipped out a pile of AustPost orders.

Can't ship the Fastway ones as they have finished for Christmas (like I did last Thursday, hmmm).

I mean it this time, that's really the last shipment this year.
Any orders in the system now or placed in the next week will ship on Jan 2nd.

    Have a good break peoples.

Onya, Andy. Must admit I was completely surprised receiving a 'Your order has been shipped' email after placing my order today. It would complete the yuletide surprise if Auspost delivered by the end of this week but not counting on it (ie not urgent)
A merry Christmas to you and yours.
