Hi apologies if this is the wrong place to post, but I am finding this forum a little difficult to find my way around. Im really used to the vBulletin style forums. Awesome place though. 8-) *Anyway, is it to late to order some beans for this months pick-up? Can anyone direct me to some more info on how this works?, cheers Tim.

    Hi Matrix,

You might like to click on the image on the top left of your screen that says "buy green." That will take you to the shopping cart system used for the polls and you can have a look around to familiarise yourself with it. At 9pm on Thursday, Andy will put all of the green coffees online and you can make your choices through there. Beware that they sell out fast!

    Cheers,

    Luca

    Hi all,

Just a quick reminder that if you cant make it on the day we will keep your order for you in the cupboard near the roaster. Feel free to pick it up whenever it is convenient for you; just tell the person on duty who you are and that you are there to pick up your CS order.

Were very happy to provide this service to coffeesnobs, but we are now at the point where we have had one or two bags sitting around for a few months, so we are going to have to put in a "fair use" policy. Bags that sit around to see a second beanbay pickup will be considered abandoned - dont worry, well give them a good home ;) That should give everyone more than enough time to pick up their beans without paying postage, as well as giving us some cupboard space!

    Cheers,

    Luca

Well more the point its not "that" interesting a story ;)

At the last pickup Luca said "Joe Bloggs still has coffee here from months ago"

We had a look to see what it was and both agreed it was GREAT coffee, far too good to not pickup. So I sent an email to Joe Bloggs when I got home reminding of the great stash waiting at Veneziano.

The reply I got back was along the lines of: "Ah ha, thats where the missing order got to".

It was about that point that I went "ding" and the story came back to me.

A week or so after BeanBay, Joe Bloggs emailed saying his order didnt arrive. We checked the Aussie post dockets and could not find the ticket for his but it was maked as shipped in out order records. Very strange but because we couldnt find it I sent him the order again (from my own stash).

    Happy Joe Bloggs :)
    Sad Andy. :(

Now I find that the original order went to Veneziano (which is why it showed as shipped) and not Perth. So now I have some more beans!

    :) <--- Happy Andy.

So the next pickup at Veneziano I get to pickup beans too!
(rare but cool, Im excited now)

and it is good to hear that even a seasoned coffee-person like you can still be excited about the prospect of an unexpected boon of extra nice beans! 8-)
