are the numbers on milk bottles significant

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
was informed recently that the numbers on the side of the milk bottles indicate the bottle number off the production line at factory. My local cafe Barista was told by his milko, dont buy anything lower than 2000 as its quality is too much air in the milk and wont be best for frothing etc. has anyone else heard of this or can confirm/deny the claim? I tried a search and came up empty. :-/

Ya.. A bit of a stretch at best.... *The first few beers of a keg maybe.. But that gas any way *;)

If it took 2000 units to stabilise... There systems must put out froth to start with ;D

Sounds liek the milko gets in late and the end of the run.. Thus has a marketing sales pitch *;)

the number in the bottles are significant but not the the reasions you are thinking.
the numbers help you narrow down when that bottle was filled and on which line it was filled.
it helps if there is ever an issue it can be tracked down to a date and time.

as for frothablity there should be no difference
