    Mine has a PID, not sure how else you would tell? As I understand it is the temp of the boiler casing rather then water (duh, water boils at around 100C).

    Mine was at 128C, but I feel I am getting better and more controllable results at 122C.

    Not so sure about that Tashie* :-/

    Expobar and Izzo both use a probe/thermocouple in the boiler. In the case of Izzo, it reads steam or water temp...Both brands then apply an offset.

    Your machine (being dual boiler) should be giving 2 temps and your 120+ deg sounds more like a steam boiler figure to me.
