Great cafe / beans to buy in Jervis Bay

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Well, the girlfriend and I are holidaying for a week in NSW, Jervis Bay area. Brought the Atomic up from Melbourne, but of course not enough coffee. If there are any CS ers who can recommend somewhere to buy decent beans, and a good cafe or two in the area (Jervis / Huskisson / Vincentia / further afield) it would be much appreciated!

So Ive now read Andys helpful post, which explains clearly why my earlier post is a bad idea. Apologies all, and especially moderators. Ive had a quick scan of the good coffee where forum for NSW, and cant see anything for JB area, so perhaps my query could be moved there?

Ah, my old stamping grounds but the only coffee available then came out of a supermarket, usually in a jar.

It has been a while since Ive visited but I suspect Huskisson is more likely to have cafes serving reasonable coffee. Try Jervis Bay Kiosk in Husky. Apparently these guys also run Hyams Beach Cafe, but I can only vouch for that location as a producer of good stock (me) and not for its coffee.

Consider JB as uncharted territory and well look forward to your report on your return.

As always, the CS community delivers. Coffee fix it is, and well probably check them out tomorrow. Went by the kiosk in Husky, but a little too late, I think, so tried the Main Deck a few doors down. A very sharp looking brand new NS three group machine, and some keen staff behind the counter.

I suspect we got the trainee, however, and the girlfriends latte had an inch and a half of hard foam. My long macc was pretty good -- a little bitter, but some complexity from a South American blend they were using. Also got a little ground to tide us over tonight and tomorrow morning. All in all a very enjoyable experience, particularly looking out over the water whilst sipping coffee and eaves dropping on local gossip. Great community feel.

Sadly, back at my desk in Melbourne, but a big thanks to those who helped out with suggestions. Coffee Fix sorted us out with some great Columbian beans, which were a real hit through the Atomic. Ive recently quit smoking, and as a result good coffee has become even more of a priority / slightly unbalanced obsession. Things could have turned ugly were it not for your help!

Anything new pop up since 2011? Heading there this weekend, bringing some ground beans in anticipation of "supermarket instant" breakfasts...

If you get over to Sanctuary Point check out The Barefoot Cafe.
