I cant get over a whole state having a public holiday for a horse race!!

Now...a public holiday for a car race or a motorcycle race, sure...but a horse race which lasts less than 3 minutes!? *:D ;)

Its only a Melbourne holiday but the rest of the state (and country) suffer. The problem is that now the Monday is a defacto holiday/RDO/sickie and most businesses are closed Monday and Tuesday... its a bugger getting anything done in Victoria over these couple of days.

Anyway... apart from the media blitz its over now.... and you can see why Im not a punter... Daffodil came 11th
    :)

    My son backed Daffodil too.

Unfortunately for a lot of punters the race came to a Shocking conclusion.

I laughed like h*ll as we put the "LIVE WEBCAST" up on the big screen at work and ran the extra speakers off the radio.

The "LIVE WEBCAST" must have been delayed at least 2 minutes as the race was half over on the radio before the horses were even in the gate.

It made me really glad I didnt care.
