    Coffee Racks for your shed.

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Hi all,

I have found some really good racks which IMO are very affordable to anyone who wants to get a little bit organised in their shed.

They are from Melbourne - from United Storage Systems - NO Affiliation.
I have had some delivered to the Riverina at very affordable freight charges.

    They are well under $200 for a 2m x 2m x 600mm rack. Rated to 800 Kgs.

I apologise to Mods if I have overstepped the mark by advertising this, but I feel it is a good deal for fellow members. The company can be found on Evil Bay.

    Cheers,

    CB

    Nooicce!!
Taking into account the roasting set up approx 20 kgs or you stand on it approx 100kg, youd stilll have potentially 700kg left for bean storage.
I use a swimming pool caddy on wheels as my roasting/bean facility. compared to yours its pretty fragile.

Just ordered the add on section for $175 as I have my first shipment bulk of beans arriving. :)

Plus I am planning another Bean Bay purchase real soon. So yes I will fill it up very soon. Probably both of them will be filled by a couple of months.

As a group , in certain areas, like bris, syd etc this would be a great purchase idea to save even further on frieght. Deliver to a Pick up point like bean orders. Just a thought.

    off topic.
Yes for sure you save lots if you purchase in bulk for Beanbay pick up points at $1.00 a kilo. Just unfortunate being in Riverina district you have to deploy freight, but the great prices and quality in Beanbay is worth it.
Send another pic when the racks are full of beans and put up a caption with the racks saying "ha, is this the best you got ya wimp?" *;D

Yep, they are a bargain for what they are.

Be careful of the load rating. It is 200kg of EVENLY DISTRIBUTED across each level. Times by four levels gives the theoretical load of 800kgs.

I bought a couple (2m x 2m x 600mm) and started storing my beans on them. I got 20Litre food grade square tubs from Starmaid (the ones in the picture below). Each 20Litre tub fits about 14kg of green bean. Got close to the load limit and found after a couple of days the horizontal beams were bending and the clips and mounts into the vertical beams were bending quite badly. :(
I now use them to store lighter stuff like paper cups, lids etc...

I found another racking unit on the bay of evil. This was second hand and around the same price. It is 2.4m x 2.4m x 600mm (in pic below). The ad said 800kg load. When I picked it up the guy said, no it is 800kg per level and that is limited by the chip board. The beams take over 1000kg. :)
It put together much nicer and easier than the other one. No bending, I can even climb it when loaded. STRONG!
    Gotta love commercial stuff!
