    My 1,000th Post!!!

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
In a week that my car hit the 100,000km mark, I also notch up my 1k post. Just thought Id share!!!

Seems like only yesterday I joined CoffeeSnobs, even though its been over three years. From a hopeless noob with a Sunbeam 6910 and 0480 grinder, to a Maver Marte E61 with Macap grinder, to a NS Musica Lux with Macap grinder. I almost feel like I know what Im doing!

    :)

    Take care and coffee on!

    Cheers
    Di

Congrats on the 1000th post.* Now start counting to 10,000.*

I joined in December 2007 and obviously dont comment as much as I should.

I started with a Sunbeam 4800 and a sunbeam grinder then to a 6910 with a Mini Mazzer and corretto roaster- Now have a Musica (which by the way is in the shop again), When will the journey end - Never I hope.

Thanks Greg, but I hope to never hear that birthday song again!* Actually, cancel that, Id love to live for another 968 years, as long as I didnt age...maybe coffee might preserve me??? :D

From such humble beginnings, hey Stan?* Funny how we followed a similarish path - although I guess thats the nature of the beast with this coffee snob thing!

    Cheers

Not sure if it is congratulations or commiserations on becoming a mod. Not an easy job here or any other forum. You have my respect for stepping up to the job - the only people that do are those that care. I hope you can discharge your new responsibilities without causing any offense to sponsors , users or to your own wellbeing.

Its a tough job, but somebody has to do it.

    Agreed!

I have no doubt that Di will be a terrific mod and its great to have even "teams" as well.

Its a tough job and not one I miss. Thanks Di for stepping up and helping the other mods share the load.

7k coming up for this logon, so it might take you a couple of weeks to catch up* :P ;D

    Re: My 1,000th Post!!!

Thanks all, its lovely to get a vote of confidence. Im really looking forward to it and giving a bit back after all of these years.

Out of all of the forums Ive ever visited or been a member of, this is by far one of the least problematic I have to say, so I dont think it will be a particularly arduous task (it helps that the Moddy Boddy is also so great as well!)

I belong to a dance forum (with general non-dance areas) that is worldwide and theres absolutely no way on Gods Green Earth I would ever contemplate moderating that site - full of angsty, emotional 16-25 year old girls and boys snarking it each other constantly!!! It gives me brilliant insight into what I may have to cope with my Emily and Will Bill in another 5-10 years time, though.

Oh well, best fly - I have tap dancing in about 40 minutes and still have to get ready! :)
