I type in my username and password on the home screen and it will not log me in......it still shows me as a guest ???

Re: Coffeesnobs on iPhone 4 ??

I kind of had this not long ago.
Although it did seem to log me in, it would not remember my details (EG: Cookie).

I fixed my issue by going into
    Settings - Safari
    And changing
    Private Browsing to OFF

Once I did that, next visit to the page remembered the cookie correctly and I was logged in.

May not be the same issue, but worth a try.

    Hope that helps.

    Brett.

A member of another forum who had similar issues suggested with IOS5 and thought changing to alphanumeric-only passwords (no punctations) fixed it. Mind you he tried a lot of things in frustration and probably randomly found fatboys solution.

    Thank you Brett

I just went into the settings and changed the cookie settings and now it all seems fine ?

thanks for the prompt to check Safari settings.....although private browsing was already set to "OFF" - looks like it may have been the cookie settings ???
Anyways - Im in now .

thanks for the reply - appreciated

How about a iPhone/Andriod BeabBay App. Now that would be cool.

Try the RSS feed using Androids native RSS app.

Yes, would be great to be able to browse using Tapatalk etc. Not sure how hard it is... just something that needs to be enabled by the admin (assuming YaBB is supported)?
EDIT: hmm... maybe it looks like YaBB is not supported by Tapatalk

Cynacism aside, whether you happen to be an early adopter or a Luddite firmly planted in the past, with rose coloured glasses firmly in place, there can be absolutely no doubt that mobile platforms are here to stay for some time to come. Therefore, the question about Coffeesnobs on Android is not only timely but also poignant (same goes for iPhone support).

So... to pose the question again... will we be seeing Coffeesnobs and BeanBay apps on Android and/or iPhone any time soon?

    Cynacism aside,
Not cynicism- merely an attempt at humour.

I suspect that Andy may actually be fairly busy achieving the incredible and if was a quick job, it would already have been done.* :-?

Who knows, an app might come someday. In the meantime, I have no problem buying beans with my iPhone.

Agreed. The Tapatalk app is used by multiple forums, can be used on multiple devices and would be ideal for this forum. What about it, dear administrator?

Andy our site administrator has confirmed by separate email today that he is examining options in this area, but presently the development platform (YaBB) used by this forum is unsupported by TapaTalk.

People choose not to adopt new technology for many personal reasons, to refer to them as Luddites is a little harsh. :-?

I dont see it as being harsh at all and the word "Luddite" was never meant as any kind of insult.

The original Luddites were a 19th century social movement, primarily from the artisan textile trade, who were opposed to industrialization as they thought it not only threatened their livelihoods but also dumbed down the skillset required to get the job done. Today it usually refers to those opposed to newer technologies that overly complicate and also dumb down society to a lower common denominator. Not an insult... more of a philosophy.
