My Mum does exactly what you need, but is based in Auckland - NZ. When I talk to her next Ill ask if she knows anyone. The organisation she works with has teachers all over au and nz. They do all speech developement specialising in autism and dislexia. Ill post news in the next few days.

Try contacting Brisbane based Disability Services, a division of Department of Education. Theyre one of my clients, and have some fantastic dedicated people working with kids with all sorts of learning challenges. I know that they have speech pathologists on board as well. Their reception number is (07) 3240 9333.

    Good luck mate :)

Try Linda from Danks Dyslexia. I know that it isnt exactly the same as dyslexia but the program works for any speech learning difficulties. My mum has done a lot of work over the years with Autistic kids with a Montessori based program and is now doing this work with dyslexia. She forwarded me this Qld contact whoif she cant help could give you a push in the right direction. I hope this helps...

Sorry to come in on this late in the piece Poddy. Weve worked with the Autism Behavioural Intervention Group here in NSW and they are a great bunch of people whose specialty is working with families with young children with Autism, focusing on early intervention strategies. Ive witnessed the before and after of their work and am amazed at the great results.

Take a look at their website and I suggest it might be worthwhile for you to give Micaela Middleton or Michelle Valero a call and tell them Dennis Wells from Woodville sent you. They may be able to refer you to the services you require in QLD.
