    4000!

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
I thought this would be too significant an occasion to let by without mention... CoffeeSnobs had our 4000th registration earlier today.

Wow! *If seems just like weeks only ago when we ticked over 3000! *:o

Congrats Andy - good to see CS still going (& growing) strong!

An interesting question but define an active member.
    • someone logged in the the last xx months
    • someone last posted xx months ago

I am sure the stats would be very interesting but the result like everything could be construed in many ways i guess.

Congratulations Coffee Snobs on the 4000 member mark. I am sure that anyone who is half serious about coffee will be a regular visitor to CS.
Well done Andy, sponsors and members on making this such a great forum.

We had 3997 when BeanBay started last night and already we have 4003 members!

The active is a tough one, too hard to figure as we have plenty of members that dont post and may or may not logon. We have 3400+ users per day and 18,000 odd page views so the number of guests coming here is pretty high.

Who cares! 4000 is another great mile stone for the CS community, you should all be proud of the fun, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable place that you have helped create.

...and more importantly the part you have had in improving the countries average coffee one cup at a time!

One day, good coffee will be everywhere.

    :)

    Re: 4000!

Any chance of seeing a graph on the membership numbers?

I did a quick calc in my head when I saw it was getting close, and the growth since 2000th is phenominal.

Members button above, sort by "reg date"

Not all the dates are correct and I might be able to fix that with the next version of the forum software. We had a pile of dates that were fudged when we did a previous upgrade a couple of years ago.

Its enough to give you an idea though.

Wow Java - so you can predict to the millisecond when the 5000th member will sign up! ;)

    Yup! ;D

I first set up the database and graphs for the 1,000 member contest and have been updating the db since. The predictive curve (which I removed from this image ::)) based on the graph has proven to be incredibly accurate. It predicted the time of the 2,000th member joining to with-in a few hours months ahead of the actual event. :)
