Yeah, me too. *Just coincidentally there was a plane (helicopter?) going overhead and I thought - gosh that is flying low, making the house shake. *Then a friend Skyped me from suburbs away, asking if I felt it? * ;D

Re: Anyone else in Melbourne feel the Earth Tremor?

    Yup sure did.
Our house rattled for a short while, noises started with the roof and worked their way down the wall and into the floor.
It was quite exciting for the son but the daught got very frightened and was crying (been watching too much television)

Although there have been a number of tremors over the years, that was the first i have ever felt. With the first noises I first thought someone was trying to break through a door.

Actually on the Richter Scale it recorded a 4.7.

Yes felt a tremor just before 9pm. I was watching a movie at home at the time and thought it was my Klipsch speakers that made the tremor.

Re: Anyone else in Melbourne feel the Earth Tremor?

Felt the tremor but it didnt last as long as some of you described. It felt like either a very very very strong gush of wind or a godzilla-sized possum running on my roof. Apparently, there was another at 3am but I was too sound asleep. It may have woken up my 5 month old though because he woke up at 3am (after sleeping through the night the last week and a half) crying.
