    Using red in posts

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Hi all, just wondering if anybody / everybody has real drama making out anything that is typed in red. I can hardly read it and it hurts my eyes. Something to do with the green background ? although its the same with other backgrounds ( white, black )

So, if its not just me can we pleeeeeeeease stop posting in red. And yes, Im waiting for the smartarse replies, in red. ;D

    Cheers.

Wouldnt surprise me, Green & red are opposite colours, so they clash really badly together. If the red text affects you so much, maybe highlight the text with the mouse. Not much help perhaps but slightly less eye strain *:)

Besides, who posts in red? Green is where its at!

Yep, using coloured text in posts is crap, almost impossible to read *:D
Actually green and blue aint too bad, red certainly has issues, as does this green.

Some of us obviously feel a little more colourful than others. :)

    Hi all

Just consider yourself lucky that Coffee Snobs dont have 3D glasses for sale in the "Other Stuff" in bean bay. Then we could post in red/blue text to get 3D :-)

We were taught in uni to never use blue because it is harder to read. Apparently there are less receptors or what ever you might call them in your eyes to see the color blue. Red was also considered a no as it is an aggressive color. This was in an IT unit I did for my undergraduate

I hope youre not starting a link the vid/pic/comment thread. That is likely to be a nightmare to moderators.

Scoota perhaps that is to draw my attention to it to remind me if I dont make a coffee soon I will be tired and grumpy. I really dont need reminding though.

Errr... I dont see much use of colour in CS posts anyway (am I missing something).

The white on green is pretty easy on the eyes.

There has been a bit lately, this thread http://coffeesnobs.com.au/YaBB.pl?num=1278673616/6#6 contains an example (from a new member) so can cut him some slack.
Your right white on green is fine. :)

I just highlight all the text if I find any colours annoying.
Its the quickest way around it if it is really that important to you.
