I have a corporate logon to Australia Post for eParcel and last week they changed the website around a little.

Most of the functionality is still the same (overly fat, slow, java based) but they now have some images splashed around.

This is one of them that made me laugh...
    ...can you see why?

No lights on the truck by the look of it, perhaps the driver has night vision goggles?

Its the Eastern Freeway and more than 30% of the centre street lights are on. The traffic is also moving and thats a rarity.* ;D

Because Australia Post is the only vehicle in the image NOT moving. Parcels dont get delivered that way...

Yeah, sort of a silly way to advertise for a freight company I thought.

Illegaly parked (or broken down!), no lights and not moving.

    ;D

If they had stationary traffic (not hard on that road) and motion blur behind the truck then it might sell the product a little better.

Yes Andy, but that would be misleading or deceptive conduct under the Trade Practices Act!

The photo above is more accurate...the truck is moving...just very...very...slowly.

Ha ha i like that one sniff.

Touch wood though i havent had much of a problem with Arsy Post except for when i painstakingly printed my details on change of address form, they sent the form back to me twice with errors on their part asking me if my change of address details were correct or not.

I ended up having to speak to a customer officer requesting them not to use primary school kids to proof read and would prefer personnel with literary skills.
Personally i think some people there want to keep themselves employed by deliberately sending letters back and forth to keep themselves busy* >:(

Yes perhaps some photoshop using motion blur and stick on some fairy lights on that stationary or very slow moving truck would do wonders Andy.

I think a more impactful and appropriate image would be the sun behind the bridge for a warmer colour, the traffic at stand still because we can relate to that, and the truck blurred at full speed but with logo still sharp. Thatd be better. But then the action would be spoilt by a crazy bugger overtaking the red bohemoth on a S*******k E*****s truck high on caffeine hell bent on delivering the beans come hail, rain, flood or shine.* ;)
