Anyone else up in the wee hours caring for a newborn?

Im the proud father of bub #4 who is 4 days old... being up at 3 in the morning - kinda sucks, but kinda nice at the same time.

Anyone else up doing the graveyard shift?

Anyway, CS is as good as any place else to be at this time of the morning!

I got woken 45 mins before my alarm because "I thought you might like a little cuddle with your (1yr old) son before you go to work." Does that count?

Anyway congrats, Im aiming for 2 and stopping there, couldnt imagine 4!!! :o

Arent they both wonderful and horrible all at once! Weve got bub three (8 months) in the bed at the moment and another due to burst forth in 3 months, so Im anticipating another twelve months of broken, minimal sleep. But gee, I love them to bits!

The only problem is that at 5:30am, the coffee grinder is too noisy for the rest the sleeping family!

Wonderful and horrible indeed! Feeling quite seedy at the moment to be honest and its only 8pm!

Congrats on the impending fourth! Im sure youll be posting in this thread then!

Lucky for me, my grinder cant be heard from the bedrooms, so I can grind away at whatever time I so please =P. However, its too cold to get out of bed/heated room in the wee hours... go ahead, call me soft!

It all counts! 45 mins is perfect time to turn on your coffee machine and have it heat up ready to brew your first shot of the morning.

Ours is 9mo and seems to be teething nonstop (8th one is just about to cut through). So the nights have been a bit rough lately.

I bought a good hand grinder at the beginning of the year. Best investment ever! ;D

Ours is now 4 and still gets into bed with us at 5:30 in the morning and then goes back to sleep for an hour!
At least since my timer stopped working a couple of months ago, hes taken to turning on the coffee machine* on the way past the kitchen.
