All this talk of ACF cups... they have apparently 'relaunched'. There is a .com website and a .com.au website. No doubt some site sponsors are onto it.

"ACF Coffee Cups and Saucers have relaunched to supply USA and Europe with our amazing new collection and improved designs built on our strong traditions."

Yep, I believe its a Chinese company cashing in on the ACF brand name (what a surprise) nothing to do with the original Italian company.

    Interesting reading here. https://coffeesnobs.com.au/general-c...ccino-cup.html

Not very snobbish but I use dual walled clear glasses. I have a couple of sets in two sizes 235mls and a bigger one maybe 350mls, from memory I think the smaller ones were Bodum, the larger ones I bought cheap from Target or KMart.

The 235ml one fits under my group and I like how you can see your shot as you pour it and once I make a Latte you can see the milk foam line. I mostly use the larger ones for iced Latte's or when I have a really strong bean that is too much in the 235ml size.

Agree, found double walled glasses, including the small espresso shot glasses, are the best for retaining heat and a real bonus if the milky drink sizes fit under the grouphead. Hario ribbed have a nice tactility and look to them also. Love that design.

I wouldn't say *nothing* to do with them. They kept the pricing!

    Hahaha...

    yes.

Even product Made in China these days is becoming more expensive.

Chinese companies work in $US and the exchange rate to the $A has dropped through the floor the last 12 months

I love the loveramics cup range . Yes they are not to cheap but seriously any cup lasts a long time. Love the shape of them , love the colours and for those with big digits you can actually hold on to the cup by the handle!!!

Some more ACF cups from FB Marketplace.
I didn't get away with paying $10 this time but for $30 for 1/2 a dozen and a drive out I thought they were ok.

At $5 each a bargain Iris, well done.

The red would go nicely in my kitchen.

I'll post some pics later but reading through this thread made me think.

I am fastidious at making the breakfast lattes at a comfortable temperature to drink. No burning the mouth or fingers holding the cups.

So why am I unnecessarily using unsightly double-wall glasses? To retain heat? No...it's all drunk within a few minutes before it goes cold. Certainly not to prevent scolding fingers.

Might have to investigate the cup options.

And double-wall espresso glasses? Even more absurd for something drunk in two seconds.

Site Sponsor Crema Coffee Garage has 155ml Nuova Point cups (choose color) listed but does say "Check availability before ordering". May or may not be available.

We gave away so many sets a few years ago, to charities, kept a few cups as family heirlooms. Some have been in the family for almost a hundred years, others 70 years and still in absolute mint condition.

I was pretty chuffed I must say nice, they will match the cappuccino ones when I dig them out.

My kitchen is blue so not really a match.

For those genteel occasions when the local priest drops in for tea and biscuits - over my dead body.
