    Email notification.

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
For some reason I'm no longer receiving email notification of new posts to subscribed threads, settings seem fine, anyone else experiencing this?

I've been getting no notifications for PM's for a while now, never really subscribe to threads , so not sure on that one. Nothing in inbox or spam/junk mail

I believe subscription is automatic when you post a thread, the emails are/were handy in keeping you abreast of things.

Been a while since I received a PM so can't verify.
Try going to Settings > General Settings > Email Notification of New Private Messages > Set to "Don't receive Email Notification ...." > scroll down and Save Changes. Then go back and set to Receive Email notification and save changes .
Then you can get someone to send a PM to you to check if email notification now works.

Sorry, senior moment. For some reason I thought this was about PM notification and I can't find an equivalent setting for new post notifications.
You could try unsubscribing and resubscribing/

    Subscription is optional.

The equivalent for posts/threads can be found at Settings/General Settings/Messaging & Notification/Default Thread Subscription Mode

In the pull down menu there you will find the options you seek.

To save any changes you make, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the Save Changes button.

Are you still getting the new Green Bean email notifications? If so, got me. If not, then it sounds like your email program/site/ISP is blocking them.

Yep, I realize subscription is optional, I opted to receive emails re new posts when I first joined CS and have been receiving them since that time.

Have been in to settings a couple of times and reset the options and saved changes a couple of times to no avail.

No not getting "Green Bean email notifications?" Thunderbird doesn't block emails, it allows them through marked as junk.

Yelta "have tried the options" not being pedantic, but it doesn't seem to be a problem this end, of course I could be wrong.

It's interesting no one has responded in the affirmative to receiving emails advising new posts to subscribed threads, surely I'm not the only person using this facility.

PS Just checked My Subscriptions, all posts under Notification are marked "Instant"

The last I received was on Feb 22nd at 2.42 PM advising of a new post to the Aillio Bullet thread.

"Dear Yelta, Aillio has just replied to a thread you have subscribed to entitled - Aillio R1 Bullet - in the Roasters forum of CoffeeSnobs. This thread is located at: https://coffeesnobs.com.au/showthrea...4&goto=newpost Here is the message that has just been posted: *************** Hi guys - Jonas here. Just wanted to clear up a few things. I have not read through all the posts, but I see some confusion here."

Seems to be some general email weirdness at the moment.
Our system is sending them, some people are receiving them (depending on ISP).

My guess is some of the big email servers are seeing them as spam (possibly due to the volume of them sent with 50,000 members!)

Will keep an eye on it but don't expect a fast magic pill for this one.

Haven't had a 'Reply To Thread' email since the 21st of Feb. Until I saw this thread I thought it was due to my having updated Android 8 to Android 9 on my S9+.

Ps although Android 9 is smoother, my previous settings are now all over the place and the update has irretrievably blocked the use of some of my apps.

Interesting! my last reply advice was on the 22nd Feb, wonder what happened around this date that may have caused the issue.

Interesting! just received this advice email from CS, the first since 22nd Feb, has anything changed, or, has Andy been working in the background?
Dear Yelta, decentespresso has just replied to a thread you have subscribed to entitled - Decent Espresso Machines (DE1) - Any thoughts? - in the Brewing Equipment - Pointy End ($1500-$3000) forum of CoffeeSnobs. This thread is located at: https://coffeesnobs.com.au/brewing-e...-new-post.html

    T'was a bigpuddle issue.

They changed their mail server requirements and were junking email (without notice to either end). We changed our servers to suit their whacky ideas of infrastructure and then had to wait for bigpuddle to to catch-up.

Oddly, a reply to a bigpond customer was allowed, a new email to a bigpond customer was junked.

    Anyway, glad it's working now.
