    Forum reply window too small?

Is it my devices? But most often the window like this one in which I am writing posts is only about 3 lines deep.

So only a fraction of my post is visible to me for ongoing correction of typos etc.

If I turn the tablet to landscape it doesn't help.

Is it just my problem or is there a setting to make the window full screen?

Drag the bottom right corner of the Quick Reply box to make it as big as you want.

Or press 'advanced ' and you get a 14 line box.

Java, yes, I am aware of that and no problems dragging it on my desktop with a mouse.
But can't do it on my android tablet and phone with fingers. It just enlarges/ zooms out the text size rather than making the screen bigger.

Thanks 338. That trebles my space to 9 lines!

I sympathise. I compose my reply in Notes or other WP and paste into the reply window. This also avoids the potential for crashes which seem to happen from time time.

Robusto, might be worth trying a couple of browsers? I wrote 14 lines which is what I got from an 5 year old Galaxy S tablet running android 6 and Firefox. I am guessing your tablet may be newer with a later operating system. Maybe try firefox or another browser to see if it helps?

    While we are at it...
What about the pm window. Each reply is narrower than the last, until by the 5th reply the window is only 1 character wide and spread down the page like a camp food poo..

I reply above the message rather than below to mitigate this smudged effect, not sure what else can be done

But on topic, the edit page has a big window!

    Hi Jackster,
    1. Place your cursor at the start of the message you are replying to (i,e,. typically the last one sent to you).
    2. Delete back through the "camp food poo" until you get to: [QUOTE=senders name] at the very start.
    3. Tack your message on the end of what's left.

    Ps works for me.

    383. Thanks. I've always said that the best browser is the one with which you're most familiar and comfortable.

    I use Chrome.

Word programs are great to use and in the past I've done likewise.

But I've all but stopped that because punctuation often doesn't translate across.
