I suspect, as Mal suggests, this is yet "another one"...but just to answer the question broadly...

Coffee is acidic. If you have gastritis -- permanently inflamed stomach lining, often caused by a helicobacter pylori infection in the past, acidic foods and beverages such as coffee, spicy foods, alcohol, irritate the stomach and cause pain.

    Yep, caffeine isn't for everyone.
Two or three shots at 11.00am is still keeping me awake twelve hours later but it's a price I'm willing to pay.
If you are prone to Gastro-oesophageal Reflux you will find that caffeine doesn't help that either.
Maybe have a glass of milk before you have your coffee (which I sometimes do).
