    Your Favourite TV Shows

Summer is here--in the southern hemisphere, anyway --- and we know that because the tv networks inflict all manner of *rap upon us. *So my thoughts turned to trivia:

What are your 3 favourite TV shows?

    Ill begin: Sopranos, Oz, Pizza

    Over to you.

    Re: Your Favourite TV Shows

    Dont watch tv anymore.

But...I do have dvds which are fantastic because you dont have to sit through mindless advertising!

    So...my faves are

    Stargate SG1,
    Airwolf,
and a little known series called...
    Macgyver...:D

Top Gear might occassionally get a mention!

Robusto...you didnt specify if it had to be shows in tv now or in the past, so I just named my all time faves really. As I said, I dont watch tv anymore much.

    Re: Your Favourite TV Shows

Unfortunately Im subjected to repeats of The Bill over the break with my in-laws ...

But then when they go to bed [smiley=evil.gif], me & the brothers-in-law put on one of my all time faves The Great Escape (yeah, not a TV show, but a classic IMHO for blokes anyway!), & have a few nips of Johnny along for the journey ... heeheehee ...

Macgyver I appreciate too Scoots ... no probs with repeats there.

Funny, Ive often thought this time of year, that networks rate this season as low audience value content worthy, but we all wonder ... after the over-indulged ingested roasted carcass of your choice on that day ... what can I collapse in front of thats of some interest on the telly?

With the summer TV period in full swing I have found myself walking the dog later at night, perusing CS more often, listening to music and reading books, perhaps this is a good thing??

(I must be the only coffeesnob whos never seen McGyver and Stargate. I was perplexed by all the references to McGyver and mods until last week when I came across the explanation on Wikipedia)

The best thing to arrive on TV as a result of the summmer TV program is That 70s Show. A real gem.

My two other favs are My Name is Earl and Grand Designs on the ABC.

I remember Airwolf - even had the poster of Jan whats-his name posing in front to the helicopter on my wall as a lad (I was keen on the helicopter only!) :-)

    Re: Your Favourite TV Shows

    Top Gear
    My Name is Earl
    Spicks & Specks
    Chasers War on Everything

I was lucky enough to have been in the London recently at the same time that the Top Gear boys were touring with a stage-show extravaganza.

Quite surreal seeing the opening sequence... Jeremy Clarkson doing figure-8 burnouts on stage and red-lining a Vauxhall VXR8 (HSV Clubsport R8).

The feeling of patriotism brought a tear to my eye... either that or it was a molten hot piece of rubber being flicked off the rear tyre ;)

    Re: Your Favourite TV Shows

    Ok,. Ill play..

I pretty much stopped watching TV since the invention of the remote control and hubbys continuous rapid channel surfing. As a result,..I basically sit at the computer all night every night (my TV alternative), sometimes til 4 in the morning,... however,.. two shows that stay on for the entire show and which I have come to love are Top Gear & a series (forgot the name and finished now)about people building houses using unusual materials and renovating unusual buildings such as silos etc.

    Then via DVD in the car while waiting for kids in dance classes/work/school etc.. I watch episodes of;
    Scrubs, & Seinfeld

    Re: Your Favourite TV Shows

Yes thats the one!! It was an awesome show. I hope they do another series of it. Its incredibly rare for me to actually sit on the lounge and just watch TV, even rarer to watch a TV show all the way through without getting up and doing other things,.. but this show I was glued to the seat. So interesting.

    Re: Your Favourite TV Shows

After watching Underbelly last week which I really enjoyed, the acting was impressive and really captured the feel of the events which occurred in Melbourne over a period of years. I am looking forward to the remainder of the series, ;top Australian drama which there should be moe of.
