    If You Had?

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Ok this is a quick game i came up with. Its called if you had?.
The way it works is you say something like:
If you had to drink instant coffee what type would it be?
then the next person would answer and ask a new question.
    so it might be:
    Nescafé
    then:
If you had a million dollars what would you do with it.

Just a game that we can all get to know each other better in a fun way.

    So ill start:
If you had to bungee jump from a cliff anywhere in the world which cliff would it be.

PS Im not a full-on jazz freak - just that there is no band I could stand listening to over and over again. Jazz is something that I would be least intolerant of

Get a F1 car and drive the old Nurburgring with radio instruction the wole time from Sir Jackie Stewart. * WOW! That sounded good in my head, but even better written down!

My Turn: If you could go back in time and place, and could spend a day with just one person, who would it be? *
    * [my answer is easy- Abraham Lincoln. I have been asked this question before, so thought I would pass it on.]

They say you can’t please all of the people all of the time
And in several years that permanent change could be obsolete

So I choose an invention that has not been invented yet but comes from Star Trek
I choose the replicator as it will solve many current world issues

    Q
If you could see into the future
What invention would you see that will benefit mankind??

Gee - thats a tough one CGR - you could do anything at all. Even if you believe in an after-life and karma there wont be any Earth to be re-incarnated on.

Anyway, another one (I saw ina music magazine):

If you were presented a suitcase containing $50 million with the warning that if you accepted it, someone in China would fall off their bicycle and die, would you still accept it?

Of course. *The poor cyclists fate was to fall off the bicycle and die that day, regardless of you accepting the money or not. *Besides, it is a far too common event (with 1+ billion people, and a large amount riding bicycles).

Would you live on another planet if possible? If so, which one?

Also WoTB, you could spend a million buying cycle helmets for people in China who cant afford them. Just to offset that guilt.

Yep, Id live somewhere else if I could. Maybe one of Jupiters moons; somewhere I could set up a golf course and grow some coffee beans. Id make a fortune selling my blend back to earth as "SpaceBeans" (registered trademark).

Id serve ravioli made from roasted pumpkin pasta, filled with goats cheese and finely diced celery, with a beef/tomato sauce (it won me 5th place in a national comp).

Whats your favourite book (apart from coffee-related ones)?

Nothing politically incorrect about Uranus- especially if it is pronounced properly. Any of the other planets may be OK in some way but I doubt they would be interesting places to live - they dont have the atmosphere

Pathfinder diesel, can be used in all occassions, travel long distances, if I need to tow a boat or a trailer, stuff in everything I could possibly carry (including a coffee machine and grinder...).

    Ive a 96 Pathfinder non-diesel, & am feeling the fuel + maintenance costs ... :(

As for the continuing question on hand, can I program/document that 1hr free myself?

If so, "America in Crisis - the Burning Bush" ...

If not, Discovery Channel with my twin lads on the couch, trying to explain why animals like to either eat each other, or mount each other, or perform the same simultaneously. :-?

Ooh... this is a hard one if I have to pick from the current stock. If I could dip into the past, Id go Johnnie Howard. The thing that impressed me most about Johnnie is he stands by his people regardless of how unpopular that stance may be. Very unlike the Labor party of years past which seem to prefer to please public opinion than be loyal to your fellow members. Definitely helps for people under you to know that you will not be discarded the very moment public opinion goes against you and that you have a leader that will stand by you through thick or thin. I always thought people elected to government were there to serve the people and live up to their election promises, not put "their people" first. Then again, Mr Costello might not think too much of Johnnies loyalty. ;D

    Nuff said.

If rice can feed half of the world population it can feed the family for a year

I shudder at the thought of Costello taking the reins... The US has got Bush, weve got Costello... Public speeches and public appearances will only give fuel to talkshow hosts about how "smart" they are, best thing about them is they need no editing to make them look dumb.

Id say a SO Kipfler potato over an SO long-grain rice ... DOH! Got that confused with my crop seed question earlier. :o

Seriously though, thats a bloody hard one Bolb - so many divine SO beans on offer.

But if it has to be answered, personally Id choose a premium quality dry-processed Sulawesi ... versatility, as either espresso, or in milk, for complexity of flavours.

... or maybe a premium Ethiopian, for that blueberry sensation ... or maybe ... ::).

This thread reminds me of Philosophy 101 - Moral Dilemmas ...

    OK, so ...

If you were trapped in an elevator for a whole afternoon, with no communication to the outside world, no reading matter, and only Kenny G playing the same Muzac track repeatedly in the background, what would you do to remain sane/calm/collected through the ordeal, & prevent expending $$$ on repeat future therapy sessions to deal with the trauma?

    ;D
