Looks good Renzo. Everything appears to be working as expected. Im using Firefox 3.

Bought a couple of Vibiemmes and also successfully removed them from the cart. Ditto with one of the Bezzera but the frist two Bezzeras are a bit on the expensive side *::). I take it these havent been completed as there is no Add to Cart options and there is something about course booking on them too

Added several other options and removed them ( :() and all seemed to work fine. I was thinking just in case a customer stuffs it all up, you might want a Remove All link in the Shopping Cart

    Looks pretty good to me.
Although, Im browsing at work using IE 6 (SP2) and when I click the link for a product, it take me to the new page, I briefly see the info and then it seems to move the right frame contents down a page.

As for the adding to cart etc. , that all appears to work fine.
Id better not buy the 10 Bezzeras and the 8 Macaps though!

But now Im going home to measure the Expobar and Macap to see if the Bezzera Double S/S draw is something I need.

Having similar problem using IE. When I click on a More Infomation button, screen appears to have no information. A long scroll down reveals the information. Otherwise it looks and feels good.

    Looking gooood...

    Very nice, easy to navigate.

I didnt have any problems with the more information buttons using Internet Explorer version 7.0.5730.13.

Wish I could afford the $15,000 worth of stuff I picked out!

Alternate JavaScript pop up for more information would be good and the ability to add to cart without clicking on the item.

    Hi recurve

How would you add to a cart without clicking on an item? What DiBartoli has at present is a clear "Add to Basket" button.

I think what they have at present, done by Identity (www.identity.net.au) is very nice and clean design. In Firefox under Linux the website works fine and it looks good too. I dislike javascript popups, I usually have them blocked particularly when using a credit card! The site at present uses javascript but does not seem to use popups.

One thing that didnt seem to work is that I could browse all the products using a text browser such as Lynx (like what Blind users together with a text to speech converter) but the Add to Browser button is a javascript forms submit which doesnt seem to work in Lynx. So I could not add items to my cart.

    Best regards
    Mike

    Im with Mike recurve.
I dont like Java popups and Im interested too in how you expect to "add to basket" without clicking on an item.

I think what recurve means is that to buy an item you first have to select its description and then click Add to Cart. He would like an option of Add to Cart on the general page of each category.

I favour the present form so the buyer is clear about what they are buying before hitting the Add to Cart button. I would recommend having text Addt o Cart text links as well as buttons

Yes. I should be able to buy right from the product list page.

As for javascript, I dont mean a popup window. I mean either a mouse over or click that brings up a panel in the page. So we dont have to navigate away to see the details. Which can make sense for many items. Some items dont have a lot to them. A tamper for example, maybe we need to know the diameter and weight, height maybe. Dont really need an entire page. For machines, if they were arranged by class or price range then we have an in built comparison mechanism. I can have the Silvia and Venus and Domobar on the same page, pop open the detailed description and compare right there rather than flip back and forth.

Re: DiBartoli Online Store Mock up

    Hi All,

Thanks for taking the time sharing your comments and expertise. Di Bartoli had been working with John from Identity Online for months now to bring the online store alive, and it is now alive and kicking!

Some suggestions were adopted and embedded into the new shop front, others (like the built-in comparison mechanism I personalty like, Marc) will be looked at in a later stage. We would no doubt be experiencing some birth pains, but with people like yourselves, we can rely on the feedback to gradually improve...

Slowly slowly more items would be added on, few more categories, grinders will be branded, PDFs would be uploaded, spare parts, How-to guide and a whole lot of support material and interesting articles...give us few months or so....

An official "launching" announcement is expected to take place tomorrow in the sponer area. Until then, check:

    www.dibartoli.com.au
Anything that is not there, or that shouldnt be there, or that can be done differently, please share.

    Thanks again! Ofra & Renzo
