    Noosa

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
In Noosa, I went to a little place called pure blanc a few times. They were on the south end of Hastings St, opposite the longboard surf shop.

They use Costa Noosa beans, which are locally roasted.

From memory, I stuck with milk drinks which were nice at breakfast time. I generally stayed away from black coffees in Noosa. I drove to Pioneer for those!

There was also a place called Aromas which had good milk texture and used Tobys Estate beans as well as another blend called Aromas. But I felt their ordering system and the crowds they pull meant really long waits for your coffee.

Costa Noosa itself is worth a visit up at Sunshine Beach...not as many crowds! ;D

Seriously, its only sells coffee and some prepackaged biscuits, so dont expect to get a big feed there. In fact, what you can expect is to have a good chat with the roaster Dennis, who I will publicly give credit for for getting me behind his machine and into the world of being a pro barista.

Anytime Id go there, hed say to me..."Quick, get behind the machine and have a go!" ;D I love that!

New best coffee in Noosa is at Hard Coffee on Hastings Street, in the food court under the rolling rock.

Shane bought it 18 months ago and has turned it into a good little espresso bar style cafe although I never drank coffee there due to his commercial blend choice.

Yesterday he started using Campos and I had some great coffees there. Good move on his part as now is easily the best coffee in Noosa.

Yesterday I finally made it Costa Noosa , it was on my list of holiday destinations. The service was brilliant, so was the Yemen long macc. The kids all had hot chocolates which were divine according to the boys. The other half had the candy floss coffee (affogatto with vanilla bean icecream thing), he said it was joy.
Hoping to make another trip back before we head home to Perth! ;)

I just went to Costa Noosa - 60km round trip, but it was worth it. Had a Short Macc, followed by a Piccolo latte. Partner had a Mocha, and said it was one of the best shes ever had.

This was the first time since I started making coffee at home where Ive found coffee out to be a better experience.

Having the heated ACF mugs really just made it that much more special, and made me forget that Im stranded here because of the floods and cant get home.

    Re: Noosa

Took the family back up to Costa Noosa today. They all enjoyed it (all bar one who said "coffee was nice, but wasnt hot enough". I fobbed that comment off, as he usually asks me for it "scalding hot" at home). I enjoyed another piccolo. Everyone was impressed with their latte art (got a different pattern/flower etc on each one). Bought some red ACF 150mL cups while there. Cant wait to get home and use them.

Went off to Pioneer Roastery then, and had another Picollo latte. Much more nutty coffee there - more like the brazilian I roast myself at home. Very smooth and tasty :)

I should mention a new cafe in Peregian beach just opened Sept. 2nd already busy.

Called Organic something next to "Raw energy"

They have a 4 group of E61s, and even a 22g. tipple basket that makes a good restretto , some kind of Italian machine starting with M
that has been PID modded and who knows what else.

They only have one bean at this stage to try but it is a good "Yurgy" Blend from West side roasters.

I haven't tried the food yet but it is homemade and looks very good!
