    Bellissimo Coffee - Fortitude Valley

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Just thought I would mention a relatively new coffee roaster/shop located at 30 Wandoo Street, Fortitude Valley.

I really enjoyed dropping in earlier this week to grab some beans and have a coffee. It is quite small inside, with a roaster set up to on side and a mountain of green beans upstairs. They have a lovely outdoor area to sit, and overall the place has a great feel to it.

They have quite a large range of single origins on offer which I guess makes up their blends. They appear to have a few grinders running with SOs, along with their blends. All the staff were very friendly and happy to talk about what I liked in coffee when I was deciding what beans to buy. I have only had a couple of lattes there to date, but they were both beautiful (house blend). I bought the Italian dark roast for my home coffees and have made a couple of piccolos which I have thoroughly enjoyed.

I feel spoilt for choice in the Valley now days with One Drop, Campos, Bellissimo, Sojourn, Blue Sky, and Tonic all within walking distance (and Dibella just around the corner) from my work.

    Things are looking up.

Dropped over for a couple of Macchiattos - i like the option of single origins - was great. Not much in the seating area, hopefully they may open the upstairs.

But Happy, friendly staff - nice alternative for the single origin lovers. ;D

It has seating upstairs now. There is a choice of a number of single origins. The coffee is very very good. The staff are delightful. The owner is diligent and genuine in my view about the desire to produce the best coffee and roasts same on the premises with an eye to detail. I didnt see Romeo there yesterday, but he was a Barista that was very good on previous occasions I had been there.

    Cheers
