How do you store your coffee?

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
I have been ordering mine from our host and simply keeping the coffee in the bag with the one-way valve, is this sufficient?

Yes (in a cool dark cupboard preferably).

Yep, in a cool dark place as Thundergod has suggested.

If you do a Google search:

You will find it has been discussed MANY times!

my opinion is try the coffee after storing in different temperatures and understand that the same blend, same date roast will result in different profile in the cup simply by storing at different temps...

eg stored at lower temps 8 degrees... will result in more front of palate, smoother, crema will disappear quicker etc...

stored at high temps 25 degrees.....darker richer crema, sharper aftertasted...

what is better?... let your tastebuds decide.... because they would be different to mine and everyone elses.........

ps... be wary of people that tell you that one way is right and all others are wrong.... ;)

Over 13 years my best results are frost free freezer.
    Completely remove air from bag.
    Seal it with tape.
Keep bag in a air tight container in freezer.
Take out what you need and put bag back in freezer.
    Defrost beans before grinding.
    Do not refreeze.
My worst results are from fridge storeage, under bench next to fridge condenser and the boot of my car on a summers day. I now carry a cooler bag in the car.
