    Bags for roasted bean storage

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Hi guys

keen to get peoples opinions on how to store the roasted home beans. I'm looking to roast roughly 200-350g weekly and was thinking go buying ~100 x 500g stand up bags with gas valve to store my beans once roasted. Just not sure how most of these bags go to seal, ie do they need a tool to seal them or are they snap lock generally?

    What at does everyone do?

    thanks in advance.

    Chris

We have an entire forum dedicated to this question, to which this thread will now be moved to: Roasted Bean Storage

My suggestion is to start with this thread: http://coffeesnobs.com.au/roasted-be...ted-beans.html

Should do you for a few years You can wash them, rinse them and re-use them several times.

Do the snaplock bags need to be in a dark place.Does light become more of an issue than oxidation?
