    Behmor Manual confusion

I've been in the communication business all my life, and I must say the Behmor manual is one of the most confounding, confusing, poorly-written English language instruction manual I've come across.

Eight years of reading it, re-reading it, has not clarified it any--but simply confirms my conclusion and confusion.

What are you trying to achieve with this post? I agree that it is not the greatest, but which bits do you find confusing? For example?

    PS: it is 'instruction manuals'

Looks like we have the finally found the guy who reads the manual. :-)

I agree with all the above posts and have had similar discussions with the owner of the company. With persistent nagging and many digs the manual was rewritten when the "Plus" model was released but it still has the same disjointed flow.

Partly it's ugliness caused by the need for the USA roaster to have a billion (not much exaggeration) disclaimers and warnings (which are still ignored) and partly from lots of on the fly additions which were mostly to cover silly user errors. It also has whole sections that I don't agree with and some that make the process more complicated then it needs to be. It feels like the initial manual was a written on a tight deadline and without feedback and then patched many times over.

    Do you speak another language?
Maybe the Finnish version is a better manual but I assume it's worse.

Your frustration should really be directed at the company, or better still, write an Aussie manual and I'll see if we can get it included in the next batch of roasters built.

Andy, you summarised what I believe is the major shortcoming of the manual -- disjointed flow.

What am I trying to achieve with my post?

Simply sharing my experience as we all do here with the thousands of posts on our all things coffee-related triumphs and frustrations. That's what forums are for.

....and I was simply offering to help if there was some particular part of the manual that could be clarified. That is also what forums are for.
