Don't roast indoors. Keep a fire extinguisher nearby.

    Best tip...
Try it at someone else's house and if it all turns to poo you don't have to deal with the insurance company.

Seriously though, it won't have any Australian certification (I can tell by the CN plug) so be careful, worth opening it up to make sure there are no bare wires or really dodgy electrics inside. At least make sure you try it on a circuit with earth leakage detection.

These are toaster ovens and typically won't have enough heat to roast any amount of beans in a reasonable time nor will it do anything clever except turn heat on or off

I bought a similar one from Aldi 12 years ago and it was a bit of fun but didn't roast beans. I added a gas burner to give it some real heat and just used the motor to turn the drum, it was nicknamed "The Incinerator" during a demo gone wrong at William Angliss one weekend.

...but hey at $30 it's worth a try.

    Good luck.
