    Behmor 1600 display fix

Hereís a simple mod that improves display clarity.

Cut a piece of green coloured lighting gel to size and slip it in between the frame and display. The piece Iím showing isnít cut to size so you can see the difference it makes.

You can most probably be able to scrounge a slither from a production company if there's one near you, I bought mine on flea bay for under $1.

This is bizarre (the picture issue, not your mod). It comes up in tapatalk but not in the web browser on laptop?

Cool and simple mod, the display looks noticeably more vibrant in the pic.

    Cheers

Well that really is weird. Yesterday before I responded the image was there. Today it’s not !? It appears others have mixed responses too.

I did have problems posting it the first time, had to abandon it 3 times, once I chose the image and clicked upload nothing seemed to happen. Somehow I hit something and I found the image was uploaded to my photos on this forum but I can’t remember what I did.

ok, so I just went to my profile and found the photos tab. There were 2 images there now there’s none. Help ?

Perhaps they were lost after yesterday's CS server crash. Suggest you upload photos again.

    Something's wrong, it's not happening.
I click on the Insert Image icon, the "Insert Image" dialog opens, I select the image from computer, (so far so good) click on the text below "Upload file" then
    ... Waiting...waiting waiting....
    Nothing happens.IMG_0106.jpg

iPad and macbook pro both with Safari.
So I fired up Chrome and I did see Uploading progress on bottom of browser but then still no image.
I figured then the file could be too big. yep, 2.4gb. Resized it and now it works. Done with Safari on osx.
Too bad I can't attach it to my original post.

That's probably in your local cache as it's still not there for me.

    I hope so,
BTW I took a look at my browser settings and flash was off. Didn't even know that. It's now ON.

Great idea Gretsch! Always when I roast outside I find it hard to read the display.

I wonder where else you can get that slide thingo, would Bunnings have anything useful?

Any green plastic sheet would definitely help, even plastic gift wrap, if it’s too light you can double it up or triple it up.
The lighting gel is heat proof. Designed to withstand a 500w light globe.
