    Coffee-Tech: Air Pulses during Roasting

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Hi Wise Ones,
I have an old Coffee-Tech 1 KG electric roaster that has a timer to pulse extra air flow during roasting. I've tried using the timer but short bursts cause the ROR to drop too low for my liking.
Does anyone out there use the Coffee-Tech (or other) roasters with the pulses of extra fan flow and find it helpful?
    Thanks

I know CSer "greenman" has used one of these for quite a few years, albeit a 2.0Kg unit I think.
Once he notices your thread I'm sure he will step in and help you out...

Greenman here, yes I use the air pulser to create air flow during the roast. I have it set to pulse for 1 second each minute once my roast reaches 150C. This does not affect the roast temp but the probe picks up the air flow and the roast logger spikes briefly.

Sorry about your nick-name mix-up mate - Time for bed I think.

I have a 2 kg model too. I tend to use it for 6/90 seconds from 110-120. I use extra bursts to feather temp rises and around FC for smoke control. I turn off prior to dumping and control manually towards end.
