    Back in the saddle

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Hey gang, finally back roasting on the corretto roaster. Still need to refine the beast to make it more efficient (will post pics later). I did my first roast last night, out in the cold with a new heat gun. Wasn't the worst outcome I have seen (bit dark, took the roast a bit long). Roasted 550ish grams of Ethiopian Sun-dried. Was late and dark so didn't get a pic of the end product.

Really keen to hear of people's preferred profiles/to bean and where I might be able to access some guidance re: roast profiling. I have a stock profile that is selected in relation to the ambient temp.

Other plans is to build an automated fluid bed roaster with a mate. Watch this space.
    Good to be back

Lots of profiles given/discussed here, especially in the latter years.

If you're looking for profiles of specific beans have a look here.
