Has garanti capacitor, need some basic guidance

    Hi,
The capacitor for the fan motor on my hg2 just fried itself. Unfortunately it was painted over and mainly melted so we cannot read the specs at all.

Has Garanti australia aren't responding to emails or returning calls. I was hoping that someone could advise the brand and spec of the capacitor to replace?
Running low on coffee inventory so any assistance is hugely appreciated.
    Cheers
    Mark

Try contacting Coffee Roasters Australia or Talk Coffee...
Should be able to help out.

Depends upon your machine and when built.

I bought it locally and installed it myself after getting the right size

I reckon a 4-6uf 400-500 volt Polypropylene Capacitor should be in the ballpark.

Best to find out the the recommended value from someone who knows....
Going too high or too low will cause overheating in either the capacitor or the motor winding, neither of which is desirable.

    Hiya

I have a HG 2 kg. Can you post a pic or describe where I should look? I have never had mine apart to see where the fan motor even is.
I might be able to have a quick look tonight.
