Having recently visited Tasmania and tried many coffees from Hobart, all the way up the Eastern Coast and across to Launceston, this little cafe was the only one that really deserved a mention.

With a population of around 500 people, Fingal is between Conara and Bicheno and the Hayshed Cafe (and adjoining IGA) is owner-operated by Barbara, her husband, and some very nice staff.

The cafe serves Tobys Estate coffee and they have a Sunbeam grinder dedicated for decaf. We had a double shot flat white and a latte and both were very nice. There are also a fresh home baked cakes and light lunches available at very reasonable prices.
